Father's Day
This Father's Day we were lucky enough to have Casey's Dad Howie with us. Howie recently had his right leg amputated 6 inches below the knee. He gets around really well with the help of a cane. While Howie, Michelle and Caysha were here we decided to go to the park and play nerf baseball. There was a bench right next to us so Howie could watch and enjoy. For those of you who don't know, Howie used to play baseball and softball and used to coach Casey and his brothers, so watching and not playing was killing him. After Casey pitched a few to Caysha and she slammed one right over his head, Howie decided he wanted to play too. Casey pitched to him and Howie made contact with the ball quite a few times, even if it was with his foot! Howie also got to pitch a few to Casey. It was really enjoyable to watch Howie have so much fun with a couple of his kids and be able to enjoy his favorite past time he thought he could never do again with a prosthetic.

Those are great action shots! Who took them? Who is that sitting with Hayden in the background on the last shot? I can't tell if it's you or not. I STILL think of you as being blond, even though you have not been for a very long time now.
Thanks so much for posting those! Keep it up, Katie!
Love, Mom
